Ald. Matt O’Shea (19) tweeted “Congratulations to Anaya and Rani, co-valedictorians at Kellogg Elementary School!”  

Ald. Carlos Ramirez-Rosa (35) tweeted “Trans people have always existed. They have been known by many different names at different times and places. Whether they're called Hijra, Muxe, Two-Spirit, or Gala, they've always represented the diversity of our human experience. To defend trans people is to defend the sacred.”
