Ald. Raymond Lopez (15) posted "The latest shelter policy is a violation of the municipal code. It is illegal for anyone to stay in a transitional shelter for more than 120 days. Additionally, the law also says only NFP orgs can operate or manage a shelter. I assume @ChicagosMayor will say the Executive Order establishing the border crisis in Chicago allows him to ignore this law; however, those same powers he wields also require him to report quarterly how much he has spent on the emergency - something he again chooses to ignore."
