The City Council Committee on Transportation and Public Way on Tuesday delayed a vote on an ordinance that would require the nominees to lead the Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) to testify before the transportation committee before starting in their roles.

John Paul Jones commented 2025-02-13 18:33:44 -0600Most interesting! Certainly, worth monitoring. CTA is an important municipal agency that requires much more attention and yes, legislative support. We of course, need to learn about any remedy the agency will pursue in order to head off derailments in Chicago. The Englewood Greenline incident on February 10th was quite concerning.
