Elkay Manufacturing company plans to donate 101 of its water bottle filling stations to the city to be installed in parks, buildings and community centers on the city’s South and West sides, Mayor Lori Lightfoot announced Wednesday in a news release. The water stations, which include a “lifetime supply of filters,” are expected to “bring access to clean drinking water across locations that need it most while helping reduce single-use plastic waste,” according to the news release.
