Gil C. Quiniones will become the next CEO of Commonwealth Edison on Nov. 15, the energy mega-firm announced Thursday. Quinones comes from the New York Power Authority, which he has led as CEO for 10 years. He is a “proven industry executive with more than 30 years of relevant leadership and operational experience extending across regulated utility markets, the public and private sectors, and state and local governments,” according to a news release from ComEd. Quinones will succeed CEO Joe Dominguez, who has led the company since 2018.
