The CTA this week is rolling out all-electric, fully accessible buses on the #63 63rd route on the city's South Side, the transit agency announced Wednesday. The rollout follows the agency's equipping of its third bus facility that supports fully electric buses, according to a CTA news release. CTA plans to have an entirely electrified by fleet by 2040 as part of its “Charging Forward Plan”. CTA's #63 bus route is the second route to use all-electric buses, according to the news release.
