The Cook County State's Attorney Democratic primary remained too close to call by publication time Monday night, but former justice Eileen O'Neill Burke held a narrow lead over former prosecutor Clayton Harris III. O'Neill Burke had a over 50.1 percent of the vote compared to Harris' 49.8 percent. Fewer than 1,700 votes separated them, according to unofficial totals. The outcome of the primary has come down to mail-in and provisional ballots that have been counted or arrived on or since Election Day.
