Mayor Lori Lightfoot's office will host a “community safety town hall” event at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Garfield Park Gold Dome Field House, where attendees will be asked to “inform the city’s efforts to reduce violence and help us make our neighborhoods safer.” Information and registration are available online.  

The Northpoint Tenant Association will join Ald. Maria Hadden (49) to host a news conference at 10 a.m. Tuesday at 7717 N. Paulina St to draw attention to “the inhumane living conditions in affordable housing units at Northpoint Apartments.” The apartments are owned and managed by Related Midwest.
