Leaders of the Chicago Federation of Labor will hold a news conference at 9 a.m. Friday to give a “united statement...condemning the violence that impacts our city, and a call on all Chicagoans to work towards peace and justice,” according to a notice. The event will be held at National Association of Letter Carriers Branch No. 11 at 3850 S. Wabash Ave.  

Mayor Lori Ligthfoot’s office has joined multiple city departments to launch a “data dashboard” with information on the Crisis Assistance Response and Engagement program, the pilot program launched last year to provide emergency services to people experiencing mental health crises.
