Metropolitan Planning Council will host a virtual event at 11 a.m. Thursday titled “Global Voices, Local Action: International Cities Connect on We Will Chicago Pillar Focus: Housing & Neighborhoods.” It is described as “the first in a seven-part series on We Will Chicago will feature a panel presentation of international and local city experts, along with an interactive participant workshop to provide feedback and input on the plan’s draft policies.” Panelists on Thursday will include Chicago Mayor’s Office deputy policy director Juan Sebastian Arias, Bulgarian city planner Desislava Ivanova, Chicago Department of Housing Comm. Marisa Novara and Albert Pick, Jr. Fund executive director Heather D. Parish. Online registration is required.  

The nonprofit Civic Lab will host a "Data for Social Change 201" virtual workshop at 10 a.m. June 18, when software engineer and neighborhood organizer Anthony Moser will discuss data analysis including how to “clean up messy data, how to group, filter, and sum, and where you can go from there.” Online registration is required.
