Chicago Announcements July 05, 2022

Cook County’s regional COVID-19 case numbers and hospitalizations “remain just above the cutoff” for a “high community level” based on the Center for Disease Control and Prevention’s metrics, the Chicago Department of Public Health announced on Friday. As of last week, the county recorded 207 average daily new cases per 100,000 residents and 10.7 hospitalizations per 100,000 residents — both basely exceeding the thresholds for the “high community level” category.
