Chicago Announcements July 01, 2022
Chicago officials will secure a piece of the 1.6 million doses of monkeypox vaccine set to be made available across the United States, according to the Chicago Department of Public Health. City public health officials have set a goal to “vaccinate individuals with confirmed MPV exposures and those at high-risk of having been exposed: gay, bisexual, and other men who have sex with men who have recently had multiple sex partners in a venue where MPV is spreading.” Officials have scheduled “initial vaccine events” in “bathhouses and other community settings,” officials said.
