Mayor Brandon Johnson's office announced Tuesday that 22 small businesses and nonprofits had been awarded Climate Infrastructure Fund grants to "help Chicago neighborhoods transition to a green economy and combat the effects of climate change," according to a news release. That grant amounts range between $75,000 and $250,000 and fund neighborhood projects such as electric vehicle charging stations, renewable energy and fossil-free energy upgrades, sustainable stormwater management improvements and more. Projects totaled $5.1 million.
