Mayor Brandon Johnson and the Metropolitan Mayors Caucus announced Wednesday that they were inviting regional mayors to the United Center this Tuesday, Jan. 16 for a discussion on "the current state of the region’s new arrival mission, Chicago and Cook County operations, the implementation of bus ordinances, and regional coordination and advocacy opportunities." The news came as other Illinois municipalities outside Chicago have passed their own regulations recently to crack down on buses dropping off migrants, similar to Chicago.
