Vice President Kamala Harris and city leaders on Wednesday announced the city of Chicago was awarded $144 million in federal funding for rehabilitation work on the Illinois International Port Calumet River Bridges. The grant comes through the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Bridge Investment Program that was established by President Joe Biden’s Bipartisan Infrastructure Law.
