Chicago is extending the deadline for Request for Proposal submissions for a Chicago casino until Oct. 29, Mayor Lori Lightfoot announced on Friday. The delay “gives potential bidders more time to fully assess the Chicago casino opportunity; conduct additional due diligence; assemble more competitive bid packages; and explore financing opportunities,” according to a news release from the mayor’s office. 

The Chicago Department of Public Health released its schedule for the next week of its “hyperlocal vaccine events,” which offer up to six vaccine clinics across the city each day. City health officials are offering “vaccines and education at pop-ups and special events throughout the city each week, including schools, CTA stops, churches, food pantries, and more,” according to a release.
