Chicago Announcements August 22, 2022
The Chicago Department of Public Health announced on Friday is partnering with the Harvard Government Performance Lab and the Meadows Mental Health Policy Institute in developing the Crisis Assistance Response and Engagement program which sends mental health professionals to 911 calls for people who are experiencing mental health crises. The program during its first year responded to more than 295 calls which resulted in no uses of force or arrests.
