Chicago Department of Human Resources Comm. Chris Owen is resigning from his position as the head of the city's department responsible for managing the city's employment practices, a spokesperson for Mayor Brandon Johnson confirmed on Wednesday. Owen joins Chicago Department of Transportation Comm. Gia Biagi and former Department of Housing Comm. Marisa Novara as recent or upcoming department head departures. Novara will serve as vice president of community impact for The Chicago Community Trust. Biagi's last day with the city is Aug. 11.
