Applications are open for “Chicago Moves,” the gas and transit card giveaway approved by the City Council on Wednesday. To be eligible, applicants must live in Chicago, be at least 18 years old and earn less than the city’s median income, which is $65,300 for an individual or $93,200 for a family of four. People can apply online, by mail or in person at any Chicago Public Library branch. Cards will be given out each month between May and September.
