Chicago Announcements April 26, 2023

The Chicago Board of Election Commissioners on Tuesday met to officially declare and proclaim the results of Chicago's April 4 runoff election. During the runoff, 613,795 Chicagoans cast ballots cast for a turnout of 38.67 percent, according to the Board of Elections. This year's runoff election saw the most Chicagoans cast ballots in a municipal election since Feb. 23, 1999 when 623,755 ballots were cast.
