The Chicago Department of Public Health is launching a door-to-door vaccination outreach campaign in 13 neighborhoods as part of the next phase of its Protect Chicago Plus program, officials announced Friday. Canvassers show up to homes wearing branded vests, buttons and masks to help residents sign up for appointments. The first round of neighborhoods targeted by “block by block canvassing” are Auburn Gresham, Austin, Chatham, East Garfield Park, Englewood, Hegewisch, Montclare, Riverdale, Roseland, South Deering, South Shore, West Englewood, and West Garfield Park.
